Entering the Grand Library
The Grand Library is a permanent four-floor expansion shipped June 27, 2026 alongside new badges and helper gamepasses. Most players finish Clean The Library! (9.3%) in Classic first, then switch through lobby map selection to Grand—where 1A is Cooking, not Classic Studio.
Retro Library did not publish written patch notes for shelf layout. Grand section codes differ from Classic 1A–1J and 2A–2F—read endcap labels in-game, use H hints, and cross-reference our Grand Library map page and shelf lookup tool as community mapping progresses.
Easy Mode in map settings (July 2026) lowers pressure for learning Grand sections before Normal or Pro clears tied to The Grand Pro [Pro Mode] badge at 0.0% completion.
Badge Progression Route

Co-op teams often split: veterans push Grand shelves while newer players audit Classic rows downstairs. Voice callouts with section codes matter more here because Grand palette overlap confuses even experienced Classic players.
After Clean The Grand Library, chase timed Classic badges or no magic challenge separately—Grand Pro Mode is its own 0.0% badge chain.
Ascend Tokens & Difficulty Modes
The July 4, 2026 Classes update ties into Grand Library clears. Completing the Grand wing awards Ascend Tokens based on difficulty—community reports cite 2 tokens on Easy, 4 on Normal, and 6 on Pro per clear. Spend tokens in the Ascension interface to unlock professions—see classes guide.
