Why Assign Roles
Public servers devolve into three separate hub piles without role assignment. A four-player squad with clear floor ownership, one hub tender, and split courier/sorter duties clears Classic or Grand wings faster than eight silent runners.
Roles scale down: solo players do everything; duos split sorter/courier; trios add an Insight auditor; quads assign floor halves on Classic or one floor each on Grand.
Hub Pile Tender (Always Needed)
One player stays near spawn managing the single unsorted pile: Assemble pulls, Sort casts, splits batches by section code. Never leave the hub unowned—mixed dumps from other players get consolidated here.
Call "Sorting" before casting. Hub tender does not sprint deliveries unless the squad is solo or duo.
Sorter — Spine Reader
Sorters pick up hub books, read spine titles, and build pure section stacks. PC players with zoom excel here. Pair with shelf lookup on a second device for ambiguous titles.
On Classic, assign sorters by floor half: Player A reads 1A–1J spines, Player B preps 2A–2F batches upstairs.
Courier — Batch Runner
Couriers collect finished stacks and sprint to wing endcaps with Emerald Club or Athlete class speed. Golden Diamond + Azure Star keys maximize batch size. Call "heading 1A Studio with six" before leaving hub.
Grand Library: couriers loop one floor at a time—do not carry Grand Cooking batches to Classic Studio wings.
1–4 Player Templates
1 player: Hub + sort + deliver in floor batches. 2 players: Sorter at hub, courier with max carry keys. 3 players: Add Insight auditor rotating completed aisles. 4 players: Split Classic floors (two down, two up) or Grand floors (one captain per floor plus hub tender rotation).
